Our Philosophy
At Heritage Learning Academy, we believe the social, emotional, physical and cognitive developmental stages of growth in young children are of primary importance. Children learn through play, exploration, hands-on-activities, observation and positive feedback from parents, teachers and classmates. We believe children learn best in a safe, happy, clean and organized atmosphere where they can learn at their own pace in an unhurried, non-threating, non competitive and non-judgemental learning environment. A child who can experience success will see themself as a competent and enhanced learner and provide a lifetime love of learning.
About Us
Heritage Learning Academy is a Preschool located in West Frisco and has been family owned and operated since 2006. We strive to provide the best learning environment for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years old. How do we do this? Simple! We provide low teacher/child ratios, smaller group sizes and a curriculum that allows children to learn at their own pace. What makes us unique you ask? We are not only Preschool, we are family. Many of our former families return to visit and attend our special events, plus our families enjoy their children making life-long friends as they all grow up together. Our Curriculum
The curriculum at Heritage Learning Academy strikes a balance between individual, small group and large group learning activities because each child is unique and learns differently. Our curriculum incorporates STEAM and Project Based Learning into each lesson to give children a deeper level of learning. Each week the teachers introduce a new theme like transportation, space, community helpers or animals to guide the children's learning in different subject areas. Whether learning on our SMART Boards, on our 12,000 square foot playground or in our 1,600 square foot gym, your child will have all the tools necessary to succeed in school.
