Our Teaching Staff
We are so proud of our teaching staff. They are dedicated professionals who are committed to the education of young children. And, most importantly, they are warm, loving and nurturing and have the ability to be playful. These four ingredients are most important in building successful relationships with the children in their care.
Our teachers understand that the early attitudes children develop about school will follow them through their academic years. To foster a positive and enjoyable feeling about school and learning, our teachers provide a setting whereby children have fun all the while gaining the skills necessary for long-term educational success. In addition to supporting children’s academic success, teachers also work to ensure a child’s self-confidence and continued sense of curiosity and creativity.

Hello my name is Cutie, I have been an infant teacher at Heritage Learning Academy from. I was born and raised in Dubai and worked in the Airline Industry for 8 years. Migrated to U.S a few years back. I became fascinated with the childcare industry after having my two beautiful children and thought of pursuing a career in childcare to learn and understand the dynamics of childcare. My priority as an Infant teacher is always to provide babies with the best care and affection. Also, inspiring the little ones with their respective developmental milestones. We also do tiny art projects to bring a smile to a parent. Last but not the least is to create a fun, loving and pleasant environment for our babies.

Hello! My name is Du Ra Lee. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in education from Dongguk University and worked in the educational field for 5 years in Korea. I moved USA in 2003. My husband and I have two children, Jason and Jamie. After coming to America, I worked as a bilingual teacher in a preschool. During that time, I attended Collin College where I focused on the Montessori learning philosophy for young learning. I truly believe a good educational environment is the most fundamental element for the children’s future. I believe children should be respected for the unique persons they are and that my support as their teacher will connect them to a self-initiated, life-long love of learning. Hello my name is Jessica and I am a Transitions teacher at Heritage Learning Academy. I graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2014 with a Fashion Merchandising and Marketing degree. Most of my work experience has been in retail, however, I love being immersed in the amazing and beautiful world of 2- and 3-year olds. I have realized in my time working here that they can teach us as much as we teach them. Believe it or not they have helped me master the art of patience which has become beneficial in my daily affairs outside of work. My favorite thing about being a teacher is seeing or hearing one of our children apply the skills that we have taught them and seeing the excitement on their face. I feel like the children allow me to be myself and to get in touch with my inner child. I have met so many smart, energetic, and unique kids during my time here and it is a pleasure to be part of the HLA team. I think we are an awesome staff with incredible passion for each individual child.
My name is Karamie Bertram and I am an enthusiastic 18 year old graduate from Independence High School. I learned how to proactively interact and care for children of all ages by taking care of my 5 younger siblings. I knew how to change a diaper and make a bottle by the time I was 9 and I have loved caring for and socializing with children ever since! I am consistent, patient and loving which are qualities that make me determined to keep your child safe and happy while attending our academy. My passion is the ocean and all that comes with it which is why I plan to someday move to Florida to pursue my dream of becoming a marine biologist. I hope to help your child recognize their passions and create goals to achieve them. Together we can do great things!
