Curriculum

Whether enrolled full time or part time, your child will benefit from Heritage Learning Academy's exclusive programs. Our curriculum is designed by early childhood specialists and national experts with the goal of setting each child on a path of life-long learning. Grounded in the latest research and understanding of early childhood education, our focus is on educating the whole child – cognitively, physically, socially and emotionally.

Research shows that children learn best when they are actively involved in constructing knowledge through self-directed learning activities. A true understanding comes when young children are supported, in playful exploration, by caring and encouraging adults, in rich and stimulating environment. Our classrooms include rich learning centers designed to invite children to participate in self-directed investigations that build problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

The curriculum at Heritage Learning Academy strikes a balance between individual, small group and large group learning because each child is unique and learns differently. Each week the teachers will introduce a new theme such as, transportation, community helpers or animals, to guide the children's learning in different subject areas. With s single theme, children will learn math concepts like charting and graphing, a knowledge of science, as well as language and literacy.

We have a commitment to excellence and know that providing a loving and nurturing preschool experience for the children in our care is best served by working in meaningful partnership with our parents. As we work together, we believe these experiences give children the foundation that prepares them for elementary school and beyond. Everything we do is designed to give children the tools they need to grow and develop a true sense of competence, self-confidence and a life-long love of learning.
